Facebook Messages, otro intento por evolucionar el correo electrónico

Por fin llegó el día y los rumores eran cierto.

Mark Zuckerberg ha lanzado su nuevo sistema, el cual estará integrado con Facebook y permitirá recibir correos, chat y msm, por lo que afirman no es un sistema de correo (cálmate Gmail) sino la “próxima generación” que combina otros servicios para hacerlo “más informal, personal, simple, corto y minimalista”, (o sabes que Gmail, más bien ponte las pilas).

Con 500 millones de usuarios y un promedio de 4.000 millones de mensajes al día es natural que un servicio que simplifique esta comunicación puede ser un alivio a nuestros mensajes, la estructura de este servicio será usuario@facebook.com, el cual en un principio será implementado en Estados Unidos y por invitación, despues poco a poco se irá extendiendo a todo el mundo.

Recordemos que sus próximos competidores Gmail, cuenta con 170 millones  y Hotmail posee 350 millones de usuarios, Facebook con la cantidad de usuarios que ostenta, y si se llega a popularizar su sistema será un barrido monumental a los reyes actuales del correo electrónico.

Ahora me surge una duda, ¿para qué van a usar el dominio fb.com?, ¿será un acortador de direcciones? o veremos correos del tipo usuario@fb.com?

    yo creo que el sistema para elegir el nombre de al direccion no va a ser productivo si dicen que va hacer usuario@fb.com y si es el mismo nombre de usuario facebook tiene muchas coincidencias de nombres iguales, esa es una area de oportunidad que veo no obstante si facebook eligue crear un nick aparte para el correo que proporcionara la empresa, del resto me parece una buena idea esa innovacion que presenta facebook

    Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
